Adidas set to launch new Terry Fox collection to celebrate 40th anniversary

Adidas has put together a special collection to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Terry Fox’s legendary Marathon of Hope.
Terry Fox is a beloved Canadian icon. In 1980, already having lost one leg to cancer, Fox attempted to run across the country to raise money for cancer research. He made it 143 days and 5,373 kilometres before cancer finally caught up with him. But not before capturing the imagination of the world and becoming a national treasure.
The items officially hit the market on May 20, including a reissue of the Orion running shoes Terry Fox wore during his run.
On Wed. May 20, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, Adidas will unveil a commemorative collection, with all net proceeds supporting the Terry Fox Foundation. The new version of the Orion features Terry Fox on the side logo, a 40th-anniversary sock liner, and special commemorative shoelaces.
Other items in the collection include a limited-edition t-shirt featuring an iconic image of Terry Fox and a map of his journey.
And, best part, 100 per cent of the net proceeds will be donated to The Terry Fox Foundation to support cancer research.
Also on May 20, registration will open for the first Terry Fox Virtual Run.
