The Ultimate PA Contest

Epic contests are pretty much par for the course here at Get Out There. But even our “used to it” team went crazy over this.

In honour or Ride Guide TV’s 14th season, we’ve teamed up with their crew to offer one lucky Get Out There reader the opportunity of a lifetime: a powder weekend of Cat skiing with Fernie Wilderness Adventures (www.fernieadventures.com) in British Columbia’s pristine backcountry.

For three days this March you’ll hang with Ride Guide’s crew and act as their “production assistant” (aka Gofer) as they film an upcoming episode of Ride Guide TV. You’ll have the full experience of what it’s like to film a TV show (maybe your mug will even make the final cut) – and get to ski and board some of the most spectacular terrain in Canada.

We’ll get you there, put you up and feed you. And Fernie Wilderness Adventures will take you on what is sure to be your most memorable backcountry adventure yet!

Of course, it won’t all be fun and snow! Between deep powder runs, beers and epic views, you’ll blog, Tweet and take photographs of your experiences for Get Out There’s website and you’ll write an article for an upcoming issue of the mag. And as production assistant for the crew, you’ll be relegated to menial tasks like holding stuff, getting stuff and doing stuff (basically be at their beck and call)!

If you’re not sold yet, we’ll even hook you up with a sweet Snoblast pack from CamelBak (value $139.99). This baby has room for all your Ride Guide production assistant essentials – like lip balm, camera, cell phone to text all your friends, avi beacon, etc. – plus it has a hydration system that keeps your liquids from freezing. Sweet!

Now for the rules…

Unfortunately, this trip is not suited to beginners, but advanced intermediate to advanced skiers or boarders can apply.

You must be 18.
