Special Issues and Guides

Each year Get Out There adds value for advertisers through the addition of event guides included as special bonus sections in various editions of Get Out There Magazine. Our fall issue, featuring the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Weekend Festival Guide, is popular among those interested in reaching the running community. This issue includes bonus distribution of 15,000 copies to participants at the event. Our September/October and November/December western Canada editions feature the official event guides for the Calgary and Vancouver Snow Shows. Exhibitors at these shows benefit from reduced-rate advertising in the guides. All event guides we produce are also made available to the client and to our audience as a digital edition. There are a few different opportunities for individuals interested in a special issue or event guide in Get Out There Magazine. 

  • The client supplies a print-ready high resolution PDF of a guide they have created, to be run as a section in the magazine. Unfortunately, outside advertising is not allowed. Cost is on a per-page basis.
  • The client asks Get Out There to create and produce a guide on their behalf. Client can supply editorial content and images if desired. Cost is on a per-page basis and based on the whether or not Get Out There is generating content and sourcing images.
  • The client asks Get Out There to create and produce a guide on their behalf – and Get Out There sells advertising into the guide. Generally speaking arrangements like this enable the customer to have a professionally designed and produced event guide, for little to no cost. Get Out There offsets these costs by selling advertising into the Guide.

Corporately Branded Issues

We offer businesses the opportunity to have a special branded issue of Get Out There created for their company. A chain of fitness clubs could provide branded copies of Get Out There to its club members or a car company who is interested in associating themselves with an active lifestyle demographic, could brand a custom issue of Get Out There to be delivered to dealers and on to the public.
