A Message from the Publisher
It was on November 1, 2004 that the premiere edition of Get Out There Magazine hit the street – and what a ride it has been! From very humble beginnings with a distribution of 15,000 copies in Toronto, we’ve grown into a national publication serving 160,000 readers across the country each issue. Our magazine brings together the best of two worlds – competitive endurance sports and outdoor recreation. Whether you’re lacing up for your first 5K, are a seasoned Ironman triathlete, enjoy weekends at a local campground, climb, ski, ride or just enjoy getting out there and exploring Canada’s great outdoors, Get Out There is for you. You can pick up your local edition of Get Out There Magazine at fitness clubs, sports medicine clinics, events and specialty sport retailers across the country – or you can read the complete magazine online.
Our website is a hub for anyone interested in Canada’s endurance sport and outdoor scene. Take some time and explore the site. We host Canada’s largest sports and outdoor event calendar, an invaluable resource for anyone interested in participating in events like marathons, yoga festivals, triathlons, adventure races, spinning classes, bike races and more! With over 40 different event categories, you’re sure to find something to suit your interests. You can also enjoy special discounts in our Coupon section, where you can find great deals on gear, apparel, race entries, outdoor activities and more. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Find out about our upcoming “Get Out There and Learn” Clinics, map your running route and more!
Get Out There is as much about sports and outdoor recreation as it is about our community. We depend on our readers for their feedback, energy and enthusiasm! It keeps us motivated and talking about the subjects that interest you. We encourage you to submit your feedback to us and tell us what you’d like to see us tackle.
Thanks for taking the time to visit. Enjoy the site and the magazine and we look forward to seeing you Out There!
