Get Out There Magazine solidifies position as local resource for athletes across Canada with launch of “Coupon Pages”
Toronto, ON (December 24, 2008) --- Get Out There Magazine will make it even easier for outdoor enthusiasts, weekend warriors and recreational athletes to “get out there” with the launch of “Coupon Pages” in the March/April 2009 issue.
The Coupon Pages will feature local deals and discounts for Get Out There readers to take advantage of, such as: 2 for 1 passes at local ski hills and climbing gyms, discount coupons for retail stores, discounted race entries, free trial classes (spinning, aerobics, yoga, etc.) and more! It will be the ultimate source for athletes (and non-athletes) to explore all that their region has to offer.
The coupons will be delivered to online subscribers by email and in print via the publications’ two regional editions (serving 160,000 readers each issue) – allowing for the most direct reach to local sport and outdoor enthusiasts.
“It’s an awesome way for us to bring together our advertisers and our readers in a very measurable way,” says Get Out There publisher Marissa Schroder. “It’s of tremendous value to our existing readers and will be another great draw for new readers and newbie athletes who pick up Get Out There for the first time. It’s really about continuing to connect our readers with local opportunities in their own communities.”
The first edition of the Coupon Pages will launch in the March/April issue of Get Out There Magazine. The opportunity to be represented in this section is being offered free of charge to Get Out There’s existing advertisers and to select organizations across Canada. Sports and outdoor organizations are invited to contact Get Out There if they are interested in running a coupon. Because the coupons will be designed in-house by Get Out There’s design team, participating organizations need only provide a logo and a brief description of their offer.
The Coupon Pages launch comes on the heels of what has been a growth year for Get Out There. In March the publication launched its fully digital publication – among the first in the sports and outdoor category to do so. Later in the year Get Out There expanded its hard-copy distribution to include representation in every Canadian province, becoming the most-widely distributed network of regional sports and outdoor publications in Canada.
In 2009 Get Out There will be included in over 200,000 race kits at events and races across Canada, including: marathons, charity races, bike races, adventure races, triathlons, consumer trade shows and more! This is the largest direct-to-consumer distribution of its type in Canada.
