Subaru Bruce Peninsula Multisport Race to be Featured on Boundless
Register now for one of Canada’s toughest multisport endurance races that the cast of Boundless took on last year.
In 2015, the cast and crew of the Travel+Escape Channel and Esquire Network show travelled to the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario to take part in the challenging Bruce Peninsula Multisport Race (BPMR), a five-stage 100 km competition that features a 16 km kayak, a treacherous 62 km road and trail bike ride and a challenging 21 km run along the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. The Subaru BPMR is the second Canadian event Boundless has featured in the shows three seasons, so you know it’s got to be both a visually stunning and challenging endurance race!
The 2016 Subaru BPMR, which is happening on August 13, features three endurance event options to choose from: the 100 km Buff® Long Course that’s comprised of a 16 km kayak in Georgian Bay, a quad-busting 32 km bike, a challenging 16 km run along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, another 30 km bike along back lanes and forest trails and a 5 km run to the finish line (the race the cast of Boundless did last year); a 25 km Suntrail Course that features a 4 km paddle over shipwrecks, a fun double-track bike ride on mountain bike trails and a 5 km cross country run; and a fun Kid’s Adventure Race, the Summer House Park Kids Race, in Wiarton featuring a few crazy obstacles on a short bike and trail run course.
Participants up for the challenge of the Long Course can compete solo, on a relay team or on a tandem team. If the Suntrail Course is more your style, you can take to the waters and trails solo, as a duathlon or on a canoe team. Don’t have your own gear? Don’t worry: bike and boat rentals are available.
Aside from enjoying the spectacular scenery and having blast pushing yourself to the limit on the water and the trails, you’ll be treated to a welcome package, live music, delicious and nutritious local food, post-race massage and random draw prizes on race day.
If you’re still not convinced about how epic the Subaru BPMR truly is, be sure to tune in near the end of June 2016 to the RadX channel in Canada (or to the Esquire Network in the USA on June 14 if you happen to be in the states) to catch the exciting episode featuring the Subaru BPMR. The episode, which will be season three’s finale, will also be available on iTunes on June 15 (for a preview of season three on Esquire Network, check out this brand new title sequence on their website).
If you (and perhaps a few equally ambitious friends) are ready to take on one of Canada’s toughest multisport endurance events, you can register online until August 9, 2016. Prices increase after May 15, 2016, so be sure to register soon if you want the best deal.
