The 2010-2011 season brings success for the Kombi team

Montreal, QC – The 2010-2011 ski season is in full force and Kombi’s freeski team is enjoying its most successful season yet going into the X-Games. All-star Kombi athlete Tom Wallisch is coming off a fresh win at the Utah Dew Tour Slopestyle. Wallisch combined technical rail maneuvers, a switch right 1080 and a butter-smooth switch double cork 1080 to clinch his first place podium spot. All eyes are on Wallisch as a long overdue Winter X-Games invitation finally has the Pennsylvania native competing at X. Roz Groenewoud made Kombi proud at the same Dew Tour stop with a 3rd place finish fueled by huge amplitude and solid spins. Roz G will head to Aspen as well, where she is pre-qualified for Superpipe and on-deck as a Slopestyle alternate. Naturally, an X-Games Superpipe comp wouldn’t be complete without Justin Dorey, who smoked the competition at the last Dew Tour stop and also happens to be one of only four competitors in the exclusive Skiing Superpipe High Air event. Norwegian PK Hunder will bring his unique Scandinavian style to the Slopestyle event. X-Games veteran Jon Olsson, who won his first NorAm race this past December in his chase to make the 2014 Olympics, will also compete in Men’s Big Air at X-Games. Fellow veteran competitor Jess Cumming will return and join Kombi teammate Megan Gunning in a quest for Superpipe medals. This will be the first visit to X for Gunning, who has been making a huge impact in the scene with her super corked 720s and big amplitude.
