APRIL 19 – OTTAWA – Organizers of the Tamarack Homes Ottawa Race Weekend have been flooded with so many requests from runners wanting a spot in the sold-out 10K race on Saturday, May 26 they have decided to add one additional space and give it away to the keenest 10K runner in the country.

To make the contest stakes richer, Race Weekend’s partner charity – the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA – is giving away a three month FREE core membership to the winner. Total prize value of the race spot and Y membership is approximately $200.00.

All contestants have to do for a chance to win is prepare and submit a short video (2 minutes maximum) describing why they should win and how they would motivate others to get and stay fit.

The Tamarack Homes Ottawa Race Weekend “I want to run the Ottawa 10K in May” video contest runs from April 18 to May 4, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Contestants will be instructed to upload their video to YouTube and fill out an entry form. The video with the most views at 11:59 p.m. on May 4, 2012 will be declared the winner.
